“The NSU community is excited to bring nationally renowned author David Laskin to our campus. He will be discussing his new book, “The Long Way Home,” which traces the journey of several World War I era immigrants. Laskin adeptly tells the story of these new Americans and how the First World War changed them and their new homeland,” said Robert Russell, Director of the Beulah Williams Library. “His previous work “The Children's Blizzard” focuses specifically on the Great Plains, and tells the story of a catastrophic blizzard and its impact on the families of the area.”
A Book signing will be held after the evening presentation and books will be available for purchase by cash or check only. There is no charge to attend and the public is cordially invited to attend.
“We hope the community will join us on September 22 for this outstanding educational opportunity,” added Russell.
