Welcome Back - Library Changes

Welcome back to NSU. Over the summer the library worked on a number of changes with the help of NET Services, Facilities Management, the School of Music, and others. Changes include:
  • Listening Room - Library room 206 is now a listening room mainly for music faculty and students. The room includes three listening stations with a Radio/CD player and record turntable, one computer to access Naxos resources, and records/CDs. What's a turntable? Turntable training available.
  • Renovated Bathrooms - new tile, fixtures, etc. President Smith says, "What a relief."
  • Student/Lab computers - The changes include Windows 7 and Respondus (lockdown browser).
  • Wireless access and printing - IT updated the wireless networks, and now via the new print system (Pharos) students may print via the wireless network (see Help Desk in TC). It is all magic to us.
  • Collaboration rooms - the library will have three group rooms with 34" monitors for laptop plug in, and whiteboard. The rooms are designated for groups.
  • Art Work - More art work has been added to group rooms, and other locations in the building. Take a walking tour.
And always great professional and friendly assistance from the librarians and staff. We look forward to seeing you soon.
